What is your WHY?

What is your WHY?

Did you know? If your why is not big enough, your excuses will be.

We tend to know what to do and how to do it, well, most of the time… however, do you know WHY you do what you do?

Let me try and explain – for example when you buy a house, there are very specific factors that will influence your buying decision. In the end, we don’t buy because of the features or the advantages – we ultimately buy because of the benefit – the WHAT IS IN IT FOR ME.

If you value your family, having everyone together, open spaces and cooking, your attention will be on the size, layout and spacing of the kitchen area. Thus when you make your buying decision, a great-looking kitchen is the factor that will influence you. If the space however allows you to spend quality time with your family this will be the WHY you buy.

The same applies to other areas of your life. The WHY is your reason, purpose and drive.

Getting yourself to your WHY, you need to have a clear understanding of your personal value system. What are you standing for, and if you have that, how does it look and feel when those values are not honoured?

If you know your WHY, you can live a life of purpose, you can clearly identify your excuses and keep yourself real.

Your WHY is what sets you apart from everyone else. It is your unique selling proposition, the reason WHY you and others buy YOU.
