I am sure that almost all of us can say – WHAT A YEAR!! I want to share my take on 2023 and the lessons learned, the good the bad and the ugly. In no particular order of course:
- Learn to choose yourself. It is not as selfish as you think.
- Trust your gut – it is almost always right.
- Say sorry – even if you can just admit that you disappointed or hurt someone.
- Learn to say ‘no’ without feeling that you need to explain.
- It is okay to feel – feel deep. Share deep with the right people.
- Learn to walk away from all the is not good for you – even if it hurts extremely.
- Set goals – keep yourself accountable.
- Be clear on your personal vision statement.
- Identify your personal value system.
- People will disappoint you – you will disappoint people.
- Learn to appreciate the concept of being grateful.
- Resilience will get you there.
- Live a life with clear intention and be deliberate.
- Being authentic is what sets you apart.
- Not all people will like you – sometimes your spirit will irritate their demons.
- Not everyone is meant to be your friend.
- Sometimes a walk down memory lane can wake you up.
- There is a difference between alone and feeling alone.
- Aim for JOY.
- Celebrate the small stuff.
- Don’t sweat the small stuff – it will drive you insane.
- Small good daily habits are important.
- Be kind to yourself and others.
- Set good boundaries for yourself and others.
- Learn to be consistent.
- Reset your own GPS when needed. A reset is not a failure.
- Learn to pause.
- Redesign yourself, be creative.
- Get unstuck!!
- Find your flow and focus on it.
- We are all going to get old, it doesn’t mean be old.
- Calculate your options, risks and then take a leap!
